Lenoir-Rhyne's Brown Earns Third Straight SAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year Award
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne's Alexis Brown has been voted as the 2024-25 South Atlantic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year the league announced today. Brown earns the honor for the third straight season.
Brown set an NCAA Division II record and won the 200m at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 22.88 seconds. She added a national runner-up finish in the 60m with a time of 7.28 seconds after running 7.18 in the prelims.
At the SAC Indoor Championships, Brown was named the Athlete of the Meet after winning the 60m and the 200m and finishing sixth in the long jump. Individually, Brown earned 23 points and set meet record in the 200m with a time of 23.71 seconds.
The SAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year award is determined by a vote by the league's head coaches.
