Wingate's Lawless Earns SAC Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 Award in Women's Indoor Track and Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – Wingate's Amber Lawless was honored as the 2024-25 SAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 award winner on Sunday (March 2).
This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 23 team championship sports.
Lawless holds a 4.00 GPA while studying elementary education. Lawless competes in the shot put for the Bulldogs and had her best throw of the year at the Carolina Challenge in January with a mark of 13.10m. She has also competed in the weight throw and notched her season best mark of 13.06 mark at the same Carolina Challenge event. Lawless and the Bulldogs entered the SAC Championship as the top ranked team in the region.
