E&H’s Eller and LMU’s Webb Take Home SAC WePlayed Sports Indoor T&F Athlete of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the fourth week of competition. Emory & Henry's Delaney Eller earned the track honor while Lincoln Memorial's Sterling Webb garnered field honors.
Eller, a junior from Salem, Va., finished second in the mile with a time of 5:06.08. She also finished fourth in the 3,000m running a 10:12.16. In both events, Eller broke her own school records.
Webb, a sophomore from Mount Juliet, Tenn., earned a national qualifying mark in the pentathlon as she finished second. During the events, Webb finished second in the 60m hurdles, seventh in the high jump, fifth in the long jump, and 15th in the shot put. Webb also took 8th in the 60m hurdles event with an 8.95.
