Wingate's Cabrera Named SAC WePlayed Sports Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the second week of competition. Wingate's Mia Cabrera earned the track honor while no field athletes competed.

Cabrera, a senior from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, won the mile run at the Indiana Early Bird Invitational on Friday, posting a NCAA Division II provisional time of 4:52.99. Competing in her first indoor track meet as a Bulldog, Cabrera ran the second-fastest time in Wingate history.
