Wingate's Guidantoni Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Flaminia Guidantoni has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week seven of the 2023 season, the Conference announced today.
Guidantoni, a senior for Wingate, went an impressive 4-0 on the week for the Bulldogs, picking up three singles wins, and a doubles win. Guidanatoni and doubles partner Annika Hakovirta picked up a sound 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles versus Lincoln Memorial. Guidantoni picked up a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles versus Flagler, winning 6-3, 6-1. She picked up two additional victories at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1 against Emory and Henry and 6-3, 7-6 against Lincoln Memorial, helping the Bulldogs to remain undefeated in conference play.
