Wingate's Sambyakugari Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Suzuka Sambyakugari has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during the eighth week of the 2022 season, the Conference announced today.

Sambyakugari, a freshman from Kyoto, Japan went 3-0 in singles and doubles for Wingate, with a pair of wins in #1 doubles against top-15 opponents; while also cruising to 3 dominant single wins, dropping just four games in six sets.  

This is Sambyakugari's  first Player of the Week selection this season.
