Newberry's Chamoun Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry's Nastassia Chamoun has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during the third week of the 2022 season, the Conference announced today.

Chamoun, a junior from Rouen, France went 4-0 in all combined matches over the weekend. She picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at No.1 against Benedict and secured another pair of victories against Lander 6-1 ,6-4; while turning around and winning 6-2, 6-0 against Belmont Abbey. Chamoun and teammate, Lucy Spice, won No. 1 doubles 6-2 against Lander.

Chamoun also provided the match-clenching victory in the 4-0 win over Lander.

This is Chamoun's first Player of the Week selection this season.
