#15 Wingate cruises into SAC Tourney semis with 4-0 win over LMU
Sumter, S.C.----The top-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs are onto the SAC Tournament semifinals after a 4-0 victory over eighth-seeded Lincoln Memorial University in Thursday morning's South Atlantic Conference women's tennis tournament quarterfinals. The regular season SAC champion Bulldogs improve to 14-1 overall, advancing to Friday's semifinals. The Railsplitters end their season at 6-7. Eagles sweep Saints to advance in SAC Tournament
SUMTER, S.C.- For the first time since 2016, Carson-Newman (13-6) claimed victory in the SAC Women's Tennis Quarterfinals Thursday morning. The Eagles were in action against a familiar foe in the Limestone Saints, a team which C-N defeated earlier in 2021 by a result of 5-2. Thursday was no different as C-N carried their regular-season ending five-match win streak into Sumter, S.C. and swept the Saints 4-0 to advance to the SAC Semifinals on Friday with the number one seed Wingate Bulldogs.
