The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Soccer Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the first week of the 2021 season. Catawba forward Hannah Dunn was named the offensive player of the week, while Mars Hill goalkeeper Camryn Miller was named defensive player of the week.
Dunn, a freshman from Concord, N.C., led the Catawba Indians to a pair of season-opening victories last week. She scored four goals with an assist for nine points on the week. She opened the season with a hat trick in Catawba's 4-0 win over Francis Marion, and then followed that performance with a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over King. Her goal against King was the game-winner.
Miller, a freshman from Sandy, Utah, had an outstanding collegiate debut as she led the Lions to 0-0 draw against Mount Olive. Miller made 11 saves in 110 minutes of action, earning her first clean sheet of the season and her career.
