The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, Oct. 17
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum goalkeeper Miriah Martin has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Oct. 10 – Oct. 16, the League announced today.
Martin, a senior from Roanoke, VA, led Tusculum to victories over South Atlantic Conference rivals Mars Hill and Coker. She recorded three saves in each game and helped move Tusculum to 7-0-1. Martin is the first women's soccer player in Tusculum program history to record six consecutive shutout wins. Martin has not allowed a goal in exactly 595 minutes dating back to mid-September, totaling 18 saves in those six shutout victories. The award is her first Player of the Week plaudit of the season.
