Newberry’s Emily Rhoades Named Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Newberry College goalkeeper Emily Rhoades is this week's South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
Rhoades, a sophomore from Buckley, Wash. (White River HS) recorded her third and fourth shutouts of the season against Limestone on September 9 and No. 18 (NSCAA) North Alabama on September 11.
Rhoades made three saves in the 1-0 win over Limestone and eight in a 1-0 victory over North Alabama. Before Rhoades's blanking of No. 18 North Alabama, the UNA Lions had scored 24 goals in five games.
Rhoades currently maintains a GAA of 0.18. She has been scored on once in 512:14.
