South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week two of the 2025 season. UVA-Wise's Grace Golatt was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Wingate's Kathryn Mccabe was named the Defensive Player of the Week. 

Golatt, a senior from Upper Marlboro, MD., tallied 11 points as the Cavaliers earned wins over Lee and Coker. Golatt scored three goals and added two assists in the 17 won over Lee before scoring four goals with two assists in the 18-4 win over Coker. Her four goals came on just five shots in the game. 

McCabe, a sophomore from Alpharetta, GA., caused five turnovers while winning eight draw controls and five ground balls. Her defensive efforts led the Bulldogs to a 15-14 overtime win over #21 Florida Tech.
