SAC Announces WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week one of the 2025 season. Lincoln Memorial's Josie Tinnerello was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Limestone's Keira Martin was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Tinnerello, a junior from Worthington, Ohio, erupted for nine points in a 27-2 win over Lees-McRae on Saturday. Tinnerello finished with four goals and added five assists to go with a pair of draw controls for the Railsplitters. Her four goals came on just six shots in the contest.

Martin, a sophomore from Nanaimo, British Columbia, helped the Saints hold Lander to just five goals in a 13-5 season-opening victory on Saturday. In the victory, Martin totaled four ground balls and three caused turnovers while adding a pair of draw controls. Offensively, she netted a hat trick on just four shots.
