Limestone's Gray and Johnson Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone's LJ Gray was named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Limestone's Jacoby Johnson was named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for meets contested during the first week of the indoor track & field season, the Conference office announced today.

Gray, a graduate student from West Columbia, S.C., registered a trio of top-10 performances at the Clemson Opener last week. He placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional time of 7.90, was seventh in the 200-meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 22.40, and anchored the 4x400-meter that turned in an NCAA provisional time of 3:26.11.

Johnson, a sophomore from Villarica, Ga., placed third in the weight throw with an NCAA provisional toss of 15.73 meters. He was also second in the shot put with an NCAA provisional mark of 13.72 meters.
