Queens, Carson-Newman Complete Second Round of NCAA Men’s Golf Regional
Queens moved up two spots to No. 16 and Carson-Newman remained at No. 20 following round two of the 2014 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf south/southeast regional on Tuesday.
POOLER, Ga. – Queens moved up two spots to No. 16 and Carson-Newman remained at No. 20 following round two of the 2014 NCAA Division II Men's Golf south/southeast regional on Tuesday.
Queens posted a team score of 300 in round two – 10 strokes better than its Monday score. The Royals were led by an even-par round of 72 from Jordan Bilodeau, who opens Wednesday tied for 48th on the individual leaderboard at eight-over for the tournament.
Carson-Newman's second-round score of 306 was a 29-stroke improvement from Monday. Rafael Jackson carded a three-under 69 to pace the Eagles.
Individual competitor Benedict Gebhardt of Wingate shot a 77 on Tuesday, and is tied for 54th at nine-over after 36 holes.
Final-round play begins at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
