The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week, Oct. 5
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Lucie Noall of Queens University and Nathan Jones of Mars Hill University have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week respectively, the League announced today.
Noall, a sophomore from Clarksburg, MD, posted a time of 18.28.63 at the Upstate Invitational to finish 11th overall across all NCAA Divisions. Noall led her team and crossed as the top Division II athlete. The award is her second Runner of the Week plaudit of the season.
Jones, a senior from Lenoir City, TN, helped lead the Lions to a first place finish this weekend at the Asheville Cross Country Challenge. The meet consisted of Division I and Division II schools across the nation. Jones was the first collegiate runner to cross the finish line and was only beaten by one unattached runner. This award is his second Runner of the Week award of the season.
