The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week, Sept. 14
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Jacob Black and Audra Yarber of Lenoir-Rhyne University have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.
Black, a junior transfer from Manassas, VA, led the Bears to a first-place finish at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational, posting a 27:10 time in the 8K race. The performance marked his second straight win after he finished first at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational on September 3rd. The award is his first Runner of the Week plaudit of the season.
Yarber, a sophomore from Abingdon, VA, also led the Bears to a first-place finish at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. Yarber recorded a time of 20:27 and finished in first in the 5K race at Southside Park in Newton, N.C. This award is her first Runner of the Week award of the season.
