The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week, March 6
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial's Adam Golia has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Quinn McKitrick of Tusculum has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 27th-Mar. 5th, the League announced today.
Golia, a junior from Victoria, British Columbia, led the Railsplitters to an undefeated 2-0 week. He scored ten goals while dishing out two assists. In the 23-11 victory over Tennessee Wesleyan he had five goals on five shots ending with a shot percentage of 100 percent for the game. Against Shorter, he also had five goals and recorded his two assists, as well as a caused turnover in the 15-6 victory. The honor marks his first Player of the Week selection this season.
McKitrick, a freshman from Aldergrove, British Columbia, had five caused turnovers in the Pioneers' 12-11 overtime victory against Brevard this past Saturday. One of his caused turnovers came in the final minute that led to the game-tying goal with 13.9 seconds left to send the game into overtime. The honor marks his first Player of the Week selection this season.
