The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week, February 20
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Joe Buduo has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Ryan Kearney of Mars Hill has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 13th-Feb. 19th, the League announced today.
Buduo, a sophomore from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, posted three goals and two assists to lead the Bears to a 14-12 victory against No. 20 Rollins this past Saturday. Buduo put up four shots scoring three goals giving him a 75.0 shot percentage and shots on goal percentage for the contest. He added three ground balls to his stat line and scored two man-up goals for the Bears. The honor marks his first Player of the Week selection this season.
Kearney, a junior from Tallahassee, Florida, made 16 saves in goal as his efforts for the Lion's helped secure a 13-10 win over Pfeifer this past Saturday. He played the whole game and finished with a 61.5 save percentage while facing a total of 42 shots. Kearney currently ranks second in the League in saves with 29 and third in the League with a 54.7 save percentage. The honor marks his first Player of the Week selection this season.
