SAC Lands Four on All-America Teams
A total of four SAC volleyball student-athletes have been named to the AVCA and Daktronics All-America Teams, the organizations announced on Wednesday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – A total of four SAC volleyball student-athletes have been named to the AVCA and Daktronics All-America Teams, the organizations announced on Wednesday.
Representing the SAC on the AVCA All-America Team are first-team selection Anna Hilton of Wingate, second-team pick Lexi Potter of Wingate, and honorable mention selections Caitlyn Dean of Tusculum and Alison Cooke of Wingate.
Additionally, the Daktronics All-America Team includes Dean on the First Team and Hilton on the Third Team.
Hilton – who was a second-team AVCA All-American in 2012 and honorable mention pick in 2011 - ranks third in the SAC with a .353 hitting percentage and tied for sixth in kills with 367.
Potter, meanwhile, leads the SAC with a hitting percentage of .375, Dean leads the conference with 723 digs, and Cooke's average of 9.51 assists per set ranks third in the league.
Dean – who has now been named to the Daktronics First Team three times - also broke Division II's all-time digs record this season, finishing her career with 3,184.
