The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets recently held. Anderson's Emma Deadwyler earns the track accolade while Queens' Elise Ulseth earns the field honor.
A freshman runner, Deadwyler, competed in the Gotta Run Invite this past weekend where she placed first in the 200m with a mark of 24.74. She went on to set a Trojan school record in the 100m with a mark of 12.18. This is Deadwyler's second Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.
A junior multi competitor, Ulseth, competed in the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic this past weekend where she placed first in the heptathlon with 5,439 points, making this an NCAA DII provisional mark. Ulseth also went on to record a provisional mark in the 100-meter hurdles (13.98), setting a new school and personal best record. This is Ulseth's second Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
