Three SAC Women's Soccer Teams Heading to NCAA Southeast Regional
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Three South Atlantic Conference women's soccer teams have earned bids to the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Southeast Regional, the NCAA announced Monday, November 5.
No. 16 ranked Carson-Newman was tabbed as the No. 2 seed in the region, along with being a host institution. Lincoln Memorial, courtesy of being the SAC tournament champion and conference's automatic qualifier, was placed in the No. 6 position. Catawba earned the final seed at No. 7 to round out the southeast region.
The first round will kick off on campus sites on Nov. 8-9. Second rounds will be played on Nov. 10-11. The third- and quarterfinal-round contests will take place Nov. 15-16 and Nov. 17-18. The semifinals and championship games will be played Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa. The championship match is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
