#9 Wingate rolls to 20-3 victory over UVA Wise to advance to second straight SAC title game

Matthews, N.C.----The top-seeded and ninth-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs are onto the SAC championship game for the second straight year, cruising to a 20-3 victory over UVA Wise in the semifinals of the 2023 South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse tournament. The Bulldogs win their 12th straight, improving to 16-2 on the season to set a program record for single-season wins. UVA Wise falls to 11-7 overall. Wingate will play in the SAC title game for the second straight season and third time in program history Monday at 2 p.m. The 'Dogs are looking for their first-ever SAC Tourney title.

Women's Lacrosse Advances to SAC Tournament Final for 1st Time in Program History with 18-11 Win over Lincoln Memorial

MATTHEWS, N.C. – For the first time in program history, the Newberry College women's lacrosse team (13-5) has advanced to the South Atlantic Conference Tournament final with an 18-11 win over Lincoln Memorial (10-9) on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex in Matthews.

The Wolves will do battle with No. 1 seed Wingate in the final on Monday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the Sportsplex.
