Four South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Teams Remain in D2SIDA Southeast Region Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference once again posted four teams in the second week of the Division II Sports Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) southeast regional rankings. Carson-Newman dropped to No. 2 and received two first place votes. Tusculum jumped to No. 4, while Wingate and Newberry were placed six and seventh, respectively.
The Eagles are currently 5-1, defeating Clayton State, but falling in a tightly-contested game against No. 1 in the region, Columbus State.
The Pioneers (4-0) leaped two spots to No. 4. The team won their first home match-up of the season over Virginia State by 26 points.
The Bulldogs are 4-2 on the young season. They picked up two wins during the week, over regionally-ranked Lander and against Limestone.
The Wolves have started their season with a perfect 5-0 record. On the week, the team collected their first SAC win of the season at Lenoir-Rhyne and a victory in a double-overtime thriller at Lees-McRae.
