South Atlantic Conference Places Four Teams on Latest NCAA Southeast Region Poll
Carson-Newman earned the top spot in the poll, followed by Wingate at No. 2, Anderson was ranked No. 8 and Tusculum rounded out the poll at No. 10.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Four members of the South Atlantic Conference have been ranked in the latest NCAA Southeast Region Women's Basketball Poll, which was released by the NCAA on Wednesday (Feb. 21). Carson-Newman earned the top spot in the poll, followed by Wingate at No. 2, Anderson was ranked No. 8 and Tusculum rounded out the poll at No. 10.
The Eagles of Carson-Newman are currently ranked No. 3 in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Poll with an overall record of 25-1.
Wingate has an overall record of 21-3 and is ranked No. 21 in the WBCA poll. Anderson enters the poll with an overall record of 17-9 and Tusculum sits at 16-7 overall.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
