Catawba's Rogers Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Catawba forward Terri Rogers has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 22-28, the League announced today.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba forward Terri Rogers has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 22-28, the League announced today.
Rogers, a senior from Mebane, N.C., helped Catawba earn a pair of SAC victories last week, defeating Queens and Tusculum. She netted 20 points with five rebounds and three steals in the Indians' 63-60 win over Queens, and then poured in 22 points with 15 rebounds in the 71-66 win over Tusculum on the road.
For the week, Rogers averaged a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 80 percent from the charity stripe.
This is Roger's first Player of the Week selection this year.
