SAC Lands 15 on Daktronics All-Region Softball Team
A total of 15 softball players from the SAC have been voted to the 2014 Daktronics All-Southeast Region Team, officials announced on Tuesday.
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – A total of 15 softball players from the SAC have been voted to the 2014 Daktronics All-Southeast Region Team, officials announced on Tuesday.
The SAC's representation on the team accounts for more than 50-percent of the selections, who also come from Conference Carolinas and the Peach Belt.
Seven SAC players were voted to the All-Region First Team, including conference Player of the Year Kelli Hensley of Carson-Newman at outfielder. Eight more SAC athletes were named to the Second Team, a list led by the league's Pitcher of the Year, Lenoir-Rhyne's Maryann Hoskins.
