SAC Athletes Compete at NCAA National Championships
Four athletes from the SAC competed in events over the weekend at the 2014 NCAA Division II Track and Field National Championships on the campus of Grand Valley St. University.
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Four athletes from the SAC competed in events over the weekend at the 2014 NCAA Division II Track and Field National Championships on the campus of Grand Valley St. University.
Queens senior Shelby Kennard finished in a tie for 10th in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.80 meters. Kennard's teammate, senior Andrea Guerra, placed 19th in the women's 10,000-meter run with a time of 36:49.38.
On the men's side, Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Kevin Baxter raced to a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, posting a time of 14.17. Wingate's George Williams, meanwhile, came in ninth in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.05 meters.
St. Augustine's captured the team title on the men's side, and Lincoln (Mo.) won the women's championship.
