South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2021 Men's Soccer Spring Tournament
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Carson-Newman Eagles finished the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer spring season with 15 points, a record of 5-1 and they won their pod to earn the No. 1 seed in the upcoming South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Spring Tournament.
Lenoir-Rhyne earns the No. 2 seed after winning its pod with a record of 4-0-1 and 13 points. Anderson also won its pod and earned the No. 3 seed with a record of 4-1 and 12 points. Picking up the No. 4 seed is Wingate with a record of 4-1-1 and 13 points. Although Wingate had more points than Anderson, the winners of the three pods were guaranteed the top-three seeds in the tournament.
Limestone earned the No. 5 seed with a 4-1 record and 12 points. The Saints finished tied with Anderson in their pod and had the same goal differential (5), but the Trojans won the tiebreaker by virtue of having fewer goals against. Anderson allowed four goals, compared to the six goals allowed by Limestone.
Mars Hill picked up the No. 6 seed with a 3-2-1 record and 10 points. Rounding out the field was Queens in the No. 7 seed and Lincoln Memorial with the No. 8 seed. Both teams finished the season with records of 2-4 and six points, but Queens won the tiebreaker by virtue of a goal differential of minus two, compared to Lincoln Memorial's goal differential of minus five.
The 2021 South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Spring Tournament quarterfinals will be played at campus sites on Monday, April 5, followed by the semifinals on campus sites on April 8, and finally the tournament championship will be played on Sunday, April 11 on campus sites. All matches will be played at the higher seeds and will follow the host institution's attendance policies, which can be found online: FAN ATTENDANCE POLICIES.

Game 1: #1 Carson-Newman vs. #8 Lincoln Memorial, 7 p.m.
Game 2: #4 Wingate vs. #5 Limestone, 7 p.m.
Game 3: #2 Lenoir-Rhyne vs. #7 Queens, 7:30 p.m.
Game 4: #3 Anderson vs. #6 Mars Hill, 7 p.m.
Thursday, April 8 (at higher seeds)
