Queens Advances to Second Round of NCAA DII Men's Soccer Championship with Thrilling PK Shootout Victory

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Queens University of Charlotte Royals are moving on to the second round of the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship after defeating the Lee University Flames in a penalty kick shoot out.
With the score tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, the Royals and the Flames went into overtime, but after 20 minutes of extra time, the score remained deadlocked at one. The Royals went on to win the PK shootout 5-4, including two huge saves from Queens' goalkeeper Sebastain Kalk.
The Royal's lone goal in regulation came from Boris Basara.
Queens now moves on to play No. 1 seed Lynn on Saturday (Nov. 23) at 6 p.m.
