Wingate’s DeGraff, Cremmen Earn Final SAC Player of the Week Awards
With the SAC soccer regular season having come to an end, Wingate men's keeper Daniel DeGraff and women's midfielder Danielle Cremmen have been named the conference's final Players of the Week of 2012, it was announced on Tuesday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – With the SAC soccer regular season having come to an end, Wingate men's keeper Daniel DeGraff and women's midfielder Danielle Cremmen have been named the conference's final Players of the Week of 2012, it was announced on Tuesday.
DeGraff closed out Wingate's regular season with a pair of shutouts last week as the Bulldog men defeated Limestone and played Tusculum to a scoreless draw.
On Wednesday against Limestone, DeGraff saved eight shots as the Bulldogs won, 1-0. He then added four more saves on Saturday versus Tusculum.
In three starts during the regular season, DeGraff posted a save percentage of 85.7-percent and 18 saves.

Cremmen, meanwhile, helped the Wingate women finish their regular season on a 10-match winning streak by scoring a pair of goals in the Bulldogs' 3-2 victory over Tusculum on Saturday.
The freshman opened the contest by scoring her first goal with less than three minutes gone in the opening half. She added the second goal in the 76th minute, giving WU a two-score advantage.
Cremmen finished the regular season with four goals and five assists.
Both Wingate teams will be in action on Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 Food Lion SAC Soccer Championship.
