Mars Hill Men, Lenoir-Rhyne Women Climb in National Soccer Rankings

KANSAS CITY – The Mars Hill men and Lenoir-Rhyne women's soccer programs have moved up in this week's NSCAA national rankings, which were released on Tuesday.
The Lenoir-Rhyne women climbed eight spots to No. 11 in this week's poll. The Bears are 12-1-1 overall and 8-0 in the SAC.
Behind goal keeper Caitlin Scruggs – the Division II leader in save percentage – Lenoir-Rhyne has allowed just two goals in conference matches.
L-R can clinch the outright SAC regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in next week's SAC Soccer Championship with a win on Saturday at Anderson.
The Bears are also ranked No. 2 in the latest NSCAA Southeast Region poll, followed by SAC schools Tusculum at No. 6 and Catawba, which is tied for 10th.

In the NSCAA national men's rankings, Mars Hill moved up to No. 13, jumping five spots from last week. The Lions have already secured the regular-season SAC title and the top seed in the SAC Championship.
Mars Hill is led by keeper Zac Scott, who ranks second in Division II by stopping 87.3-percent of opponent's shots, and forward Stephen Bivens, who is tied for second in the SAC with eight goals.
The Lions are currently 12-2-1 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
In the NSCAA men's regional poll, Mars Hill is ranked second, followed by No. 6 Wingate and No. 9 Lincoln Memorial.
