Limestone's Morales and Emory & Henry's Aliff Named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Golfers of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone's Maria Morales was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Golfer of the Week and Emory & Henry's Slade Aliff was named the SAC WePlayed Sports Men's Golfer of the Week for events played during weeks three and four of the 2023-24 season, the Conference office announced today.
Morales, a senior from Lambare, Paraguay, picked up medalist honors and led the Saints to a team title at the Savannah Lakes Invitational. She carded rounds of 73 and 69, averaging 71 for the tournament.
Aliff, a sophomore from Hardy, Va., posted rounds of 69 and 67 for a 68 average, and he earned a second place finish at the King Invitational. Thanks to his stellar play, the Wasps earned a second place finish as a team and posted the program's best 36-hole total.
The bi-monthly award is awarded to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
