SAC Basketball Places Three on DII Bulletin All-America Teams
The Division II Bulletin men’s and women’s basketball All-America Teams were released on Monday, with a total of three SAC players earning recognition.
BEAVERTON, Ore. – The Division II Bulletin men's and women's basketball All-America Teams were released on Monday, with a total of three SAC players earning recognition.
On the men's All-America Team, Lincoln Memorial forward Vincent Bailey was a first-team selection and Anderson guard Chandler Hash earned honorable mention accolades. On the women's side, Lenoir-Rhyne guard Jazmine Charles was a third-team pick.
Bailey's DII Bulletin All-America selection added to his list of 2013-14 accolades that has already included being named the SAC Player of the Year, Daktrnoics Southeast Region Player of the Year, and an All-American by Daktronics and the USBWA. He averaged 21.5 points and 10 rebounds per game this season, leading LMU to the SAC regular-season and tournament titles.
Hash, meanwhile, was previously named the SAC Championship MVP, a Daktronics All-Region and NABC All-District selection after averaging 24.3 points per game and leading Anderson to the NCAA Tournament.
Charles averaged 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, guiding Lenoir-Rhyne to a share of the SAC title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament. In addition to her DII Bulletin accolades, Charles was voted as the SAC Player of the Year, the Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year, and a WBCA and Daktronics All-American.
