Eight South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Players Earn Synapse Sports All-American Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Eight South Atlantic Conference Carolinas field hockey players have been named to the Synapse Sports Division II All-American Teams.
Limestone's Kelly Diplock was named first team, while teammate Kate Remley was a second team pick.
Diplock, a sophomore forward from Harare, Zimbabwe, led the conference in goals (16), assists (10), points (42), and game-winning goals (7). She has started every game for the Saints and is a driving force behind their 12-4 (9-1) record. Diplock also garnered South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week and was named the first-ever South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Year.
Remley, a native of Chesapeake, Va., recorded 15 goals and five assists for 35 points. The junior captain tallied three game-winning goals and went one-for-one on penalty shots. She was named the inaugural South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Tournament MVP.
Earning spots on the Synapse Sports All-Rookie team were Coker's Carla Deuble and Simcha de Vilder, Queens' Millie Eaton-Jones and Karla von Ehren, Belmont Abbey's Sophia Fuege and Limestone's Gwen Lewis.
