Five SAC Baseball Players Named All-Americans
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Five South Atlantic Conference baseball players have been named All-Americans as the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings (ABCA), Division II Collegiate Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) each announced their respective All-American teams last week.
Three players were coconscious All-Americans, earning All-American honors from all three organizations. Tusculum's Daulton Martin was named first team All-American at second base for all three organizations, while Lincoln Memorial's Ethan Elliott was an ABCA/Rawlings first team selection, a D2CCA second team selection and was a NCBWA third team pick as a starting pitcher. Newberry reliever Quinton Driggers was an ABCA /Rawlings third team selection, and a D2CCA and NCBWA second team selection.
Also earning All-American honors were Catawba's Jackson Raper and Newberry's Danton Hyman. Both players were named honorable mention All-Americans by NCBWA.
