The South Atlantic Conference Names Dave Brown as Coordinator of Baseball Umpires
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference has named Dave Brown as its Coordinator of Baseball Umpires, the League announced today.
"The South Atlantic Conference is fortunate to have someone with Dave's experience and ability oversee our baseball umpires' program," added SAC Commissioner Patrick Britz. "The recent regional and national success of our conference baseball programs requires that our umpires continue to be professional and strong and with Dave leading them I am confident that will occur."
Brown has over thirty years of experience umpiring games across all NCAA levels, including a pair of Division II College World Series and five Division I Regionals. Brown currently umpires on crews with the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Sunbelt Conference and the Southern Conference. Brown is also the Southeast Regional Advisor for American Legion Baseball Umpires.
"I'm proud to be returning to the Conference that gave me my start in umpiring intercollegiate baseball," said Brown. "I would like to thank Commissioner Britz for the amazing opportunity and privilege to train potential South Atlantic Conference umpires."
Brown began his umpiring career with the South Atlantic Conference in 1998 and resides in Rutherfordton, N.C.
