A Pair of Losses End Year for Catawba Softball
DAHLONEGA, GEORGIA -- A pair of losses ends the season for the Catawba College softball team as they are eliminated from the 2016 NCAA Southeast Regional Playoffs hosted by the University of North Georgia at Hill Stadium on Friday. The fourth seeded Catawba opened the day with a 1-0 loss to defending national champions and top seeded North Georgia. In the losers bracket the Catawba Lady Indians fell to #5 Georgia College 3-0 to suffer relegation from the tournament. Catawba falls to 39-16 on the year as North Georgia and Georgia College will meet on Saturday for the championship game. FULL RECAP
Lenoir-Rhyne Softball Ends Season With Split At The 2016 NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals
Savannah, Ga. – The No. 18 Lenoir-Rhyne Softball Team (48-13) ended the year with a split on Friday at the 2016 NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals at Armstrong State University. The Bears defeated USC Aiken (29-22), 1-0, before falling to Pfeiffer (39-16) by an 8-3 score. FULL RECAP
