Lions downed by Tornado in fall finale
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-4) was defeated in a tightly contested match versus King (1-2) to wrap up their fall scheduled Wednesday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-4) was defeated in a tightly contested match versus King (1-2) to wrap up their fall scheduled Wednesday afternoon at the Hart Tennis Complex.
The Lions entered singles competition up 1-0 after taking two-of-three doubles matches. The teams of Rodrigo Ramos and Faris Hadzisadikovic and Tom Farman and Kyrel Trim earned the point for Mars Hill.
King was able to take four-of-six singles matches to pick up their first win in fall competition. Ramos and Trim picked up the Lions' singles wins.
Mars Hill concludes fall play with a record of 2-4. The team kicks off their spring season on Saturday, February 1, opening South Atlantic Conference play versus Newberry at home at 1 p.m.
