Railsplitters rally in second half, down Mars Hill

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (4-4, 0-3 SAC) was defeated by Lincoln Memorial (3-6, 1-2 SAC) by a score of 10-8 Wednesday night.
The Railsplitters outscored Mars Hill 7-1 in the second half, erasing a four-goal lead from the first. Lincoln Memorial scored seven unanswered in the half with Francis O'Hara netting two in the run.
Both teams traded goals in the first quarter, ending the frame tied at three. Zac Carrigan netted two in the frame while Cole Ross scored the third.
Mars Hill held Lincoln Memorial scoreless in the second with Carrigan collecting three points (2g, 1a). Austin Stroud picked up two assists and as Trevor Kennedy and John Hommel scored the other two goals for the Lions.
O'Hara led the Railsplitters with two goals and one assist. Carrigan led all players with five points (4g, 1a) followed by Stroud's three assists.
The Lions take on Queens on Saturday, March 19 on the road. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
