Saints slide by Mars Hill in afternoon tilt
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (1-9, 0-8 SAC) was defeated 5-2 by Limestone (8-2, 4-2 SAC) Saturday afternoon.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (1-9, 0-8 SAC) was defeated 5-2 by Limestone (8-2, 4-2 SAC) Saturday afternoon.
Limestone came away with the doubles point, winning a tiebreak in the third flight. Ines Rodriguez and Maria Razzetta took their doubles match, 6-3.
In singles play, Rodriguez and Razzetta were narrowly edged while wins from Mpolokeng Aletta Macheli and Elana Mackey made the contest close. Victoria Franklin dropped a close three-setter, 7-5, in the deciding frame.
The Lions return to the courts on Wednesday, March 24 when they travel to Jefferson City, Tennessee to face Carson-Newman. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
