Mars Hill falls to Queens on road
The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (4-5, 0-4 SAC) was defeated by Queens (5-2, 2-1 SAC) by a score of 26-5 Saturday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (4-5, 0-4 SAC) was defeated by Queens (5-2, 2-1 SAC) by a score of 26-5 Saturday afternoon.
The Royals came out strong, scoring six in the first 10 minutes of competition. Trevor Williams got the Lions' first goal with six minutes left in the first quarter. Zac Carrigan added to the Lions' rally, scoring 30 seconds after Williams's tally setting the score to 6-2. The Royals answered back by adding four goals to their first quarter score, ending the quarter with a score of 10-2.
Queens continued to pile on goals, outscoring the Lions 16-3 in the final three quarters of play.
Carrigan led the Lions with one goal and one assist for two points on the day. Cole Ross, Brandon Woodward, and Trevor Kennedy were the other Mars Hill goal scorers. Alex Oleschuk managed to gather 10 saves against 12 shots from the Royals.
The Lions return home on Saturday, March 26 taking on the Bulldogs of Wingate University at 1 p.m.
