WePlayed Sports Softball Players of the Week Announced
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Softball Players of the Week for games played during week seven of the 2025 season. Wingate's Jaden Burns was named the Player of the Week and Lincoln Memorial's Halle Grace Patton was named the Pitcher of the Week.
Burns, a freshman from Guyon, Ga., hit .875 on the week, leading Wingate to a 3-1 week. She was 7-of-8 with 4 RBI and 4 runs scored, while also drawing 3 walks to post a .917 on-base percentage. Burns was 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored in the 9-1 win over C-N to start the week, while going 3-3 with an RBI and run scored in game two. She capped her week by going 2-2 with 3 RBI and a run scored in the 9-1 win over Limestone.
Patton, a senior from Adamsville, Tenn., went 3-1 in the circle for the Railsplitters. She tossed 24.2 innings on the week and pitched to a 2.84 ERA and 1.18 WHIP while striking out 15 batters. In a doubleheader against Coker, she threw back-to-back complete games and allowed just one run over those 14 innings with only 10 baserunners allowed. She picked up her third win over Lenoir-Rhyne by throwing a complete game and allowing two earned runs.
