Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate Ranked in NFCA National Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) -- Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate are ranked in the top 25 in the 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches' Preseason Poll as released by the organization this afternoon. 

Lenoir-Rhyne is No. 4 in the poll after a magicial run to close the 2024 season. The Bears made a run to the NCAA Division II Championships and finished the campaign with a 52-18 record. The Bears were 16-8 in conference play and won the SAC Tournament. They open the season on Friday, Jan. 31 in the Gulf Shore Tournament. 

Wingate was the SAC Regular Season champion a season ago and slot in at No. 19 in the poll. The Bulldogs were 49-11 in 2024 and were a dominant 22-2 in SAC play. WU will open the 2025 season at Lander on February 1.

The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions. The first poll of the regular season will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 11 and every Tuesday at noon ET throughout the regular season.
