SAC Softball Championship: Day Two Recap
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Seven women's softball games were played today between the Wingate, N.C. and Hickory, N.C. locations to accommodate for yesterday's weather postponements.
At Wingate, The Wingate Bulldogs won both game one against Anderson (4-3) and game two against Carson-Newman (4-2). Newberry defeated Anderson in game three 5-4 to eliminate the Trojans from the SAC Tournament.
At Hickory, Lincoln Memorial defeated Catawba in game one of the day 8-6. Lenoir-Rhyne kicked off game two with a 13-5 win over Limestone, and Catawba defeated Limestone 12-3 in game three to eliminate the Saints from the SAC Tournament. Lincoln Memorial ended the day with a 10-5 win over Lenoir-Rhyne in game four.
The Championship resumes tomorrow with games at both Wingate and Hickory.
