Four SAC Softball Teams Remain Ranked in Final NCAA Regional Poll
Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson, Wingate and Catawba have maintained their spots in the latest NCAA Division II Softball Southeast Region rankings, the final release prior to next week’s championship selections.
INDIANAPOLIS – Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson, Wingate and Catawba have maintained their spots in the latest NCAA Division II Softball Southeast Region rankings, the final release prior to next week's championship selections.
SAC Tournament champion Lenoir-Rhyne is again ranked second in the region, behind only Armstrong. L-R closed its regular season with a 35-14 overall record and went 11-7 in the conference.
Anderson is No. 6 in this week's poll. The Trojans went 32-12 overall and 12-6 in league play.
Wingate is again No. 8 in the rankings, and Catawba stayed put at No. 10. WU finished the regular season with a 32-20-1 overall record, while the Indians went 32-19 overall and finished as the runners-up at the SAC Tournament.
