WINGATE, N.C. -- The Wingate University Bulldogs swept a doubleheader against the Eagles of Carson-Newman College in South Atlantic Conference softball action Saturday afternoon.
Wingate (28-11-1, 13-3 SAC) won the first game 5-4, which clinched sole possession of the regular season conference title. The Bulldogs followed by defeating the Eagles (25-15, 9-7 SAC) 3-0 in game two.
