PC’s Bailey, Teal, Norris Named to South Atlantic Softball Regional All Tournament Team
KENNESAW, GA - The 2004 South Atlantic Region All-Tournament team was selected on Saturday afternoon after the conclusion of the championship game between Kennesaw State and Presbyterian College.
Region Champions Kennesaw State put three players on the squad including tournament Most Outstanding Player Lisa Macki. The senior from Lolo, Montana pitched three complete games and went 3-0, giving up only two runs. Freshmen Keri McKee and Megan Gant also made the squad.
Runner-up Presbyterian College and Armstrong Atlantic also placed three players on the team Pitcher Brooke Norris, infielder Rachel Bailey and outfielder Amanda Teal made the team for the Lady Blue Hose while outfielder Valeria Silvestrini, designated player Stacey Richardson, and Katya Eronina were the Armstrong Atlantic selections.
Junior catcher Allie Cyrill and senior outfielder Kacey Ayers made the team from USC Spartanburg, and North Florida's Kelli Rutenbar and Belmont Abbey's Leigh Carter rounded out the 13-member team.
