Converse's Kanters named NFHCA Division II National Player of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Junior defender from No. 1 Kutztown University, Sarah Gatehouse, and sophomore forward from No. 8 Converse University, Lotte Kanters, have been named this week's NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah Gatehouse, No. 1 Kutztown University, Jr., Defender (Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania)
- Led Kutztown to an unbeaten week, including two shutout victories against then-No. 1 East Stroudsburg University and Slippery Rock University
- Anchored a Kutztown defense in the 1-0 victory vs then-No. 1 East Stroudsburg
- Anchored a Kutztown defense in the 3-0 win vs Slippery Rock University
- Kutztown has allowed just one goal in the last seven games and ranks second in the NCAA for goals allowed per game (.78)
- Named PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week

Lotte Kanters, No. 8 Converse University, So., Forward (Loosdrecht, Netherlands)
- Scored three goals on 10 shot attempts in the 2-0 week for Converse
- Scored two game-winning goals, including a stroke, in back-to-back wins vs Newberry College and Belmont Abbey College
- Leads the nation in goals per game (3.43)
- Named SAC Offensive Player of the Week
