South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Announces Astroturf Field Hockey Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – South Atlantic Conference Carolinas announced its final AstroTurf Field Hockey Players of the Week for matches played during the last regular season week. Coker's Rylie Cordrey was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Mount Olive's Victoria Lane was named Defensive Player of the Week. 

Cordrey, sophomore from Selbyville, Del., helped lead the Cobras to a 2-0 record after facing Belmont Abbey and Frostburg this past week. Overall, she scored three goals, garnering six points with eight shots on goal for a .375 shooting percentage. This is the first Offensive Player of the Week honor for Cordrey.

Lane, a sophomore goalie from Louisa, VA., was an instrumental part in Mount Olive's victory over No. 1 seed Converse this past weekend. Overall, Lane had 13 saves for a .867 save percentage after spending 120 minutes between the bars. This is the third Defensive Player of the Week award for Lane this season.
